Many people in Sri Lanka would like to sell online, but they stop at the first question: where do I find the money for stock? MyKade is built for exactly that person. You find the customers. We look after the stock, the packing, the delivery and collecting the money.
The idea in one line
MyKade is an app where you pick products from verified suppliers, share them with people you know and people online, and earn a profit on every order that is delivered.
How it works, step by step
- Join for free. Download the app, sign up with your mobile number and choose Sinhala, Tamil or English.
- Verify your identity. Before your first order you add photos of your NIC, a selfie and your bank details. You must be 18 or older.
- Choose products. Every product comes from a supplier checked by the MyKade team. Each one shows your price, a suggested selling price and your profit.
- Share. Send product photos, videos and ready-made captions to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. You also get your own shop link: a shop page with your name and your prices.
- Place the order. When a customer wants something, you place the order for them in the app.
- We do the rest. MyKade packs the parcel, delivers island-wide and collects the money from the customer.
- You get your profit. When the parcel is delivered, your profit goes to your wallet, and you withdraw it to your bank account.
Who pays whom
This part matters, so we keep it simple: customers always pay MyKade, never you. They pay cash on delivery, or through a secure payment link that MyKade texts to them, either in full or as an advance. You never hold anyone's money, and nobody can ever say you kept theirs.
What you decide
- Your selling price. There is a maximum, so customers are not overcharged, but below that the choice is yours.
- Your products. Share what suits the people you know.
- Your hours. Some people give it an hour in the evening, others more.

What it does take
Honestly, it takes effort. Products don't sell themselves. You need to share regularly, reply to messages quickly, and confirm each order with the customer before you place it.
In real Sri Lankan online shops, when parcels went to strangers, about a third of them came back, and a returned parcel earns you nothing. Sellers who confirm orders and sell to people who trust them do much better: when customers knew the seller and ordered again, about 96% of parcels were delivered.
