Sending photos one by one is fine for your first few sales. But sooner or later someone asks, "What else do you have?" That is where your shop link helps. Every MyKade seller gets one: a shop page with your name and your prices, that anyone can open on their phone.
What your shop link is (and isn't)
Think of it as your own small shop window on the internet.
- It shows the products you sell, at the selling prices you chose.
- It carries your name, so buyers know whose shop it is.
- It's one link, so it's easy to paste anywhere.
It is not a replacement for you. People in Sri Lanka still like to ask a question before they buy: "Is this good?", "When will it come?", "How much with delivery?". The link brings them to you; your reply closes the sale.
However the customer finds you, the money side stays the same: they pay MyKade, by cash on delivery or a secure payment link that MyKade texts to them. You never collect money from customers.
Check your prices first
You choose your own selling price for each product (there is a maximum, so customers are never overcharged). Before you share your link widely, open it yourself and check:
- Are the prices the ones you want?
- Are the products ones you'd be happy to recommend?
- Does your shop name look right?
See how to set your selling price if you're unsure what to charge.
Where to put your link
Put it once in the places people look, and it keeps working for you.
- WhatsApp: in your "About" line, or your business profile if you use WhatsApp Business.
- Instagram and TikTok: in your bio. It's the one clickable link most people see.
- Facebook: on your Page's details, and at the end of product posts.
- Captions: a short line at the end: "See all my products: [your link]".
- Pinned message: in a WhatsApp group you run yourself, pin it so new members find it.
Only post in groups that allow selling, and follow the group's rules. See selling in WhatsApp groups without annoying anyone.
When to send the link, and when not to
- Send one product when someone asks about a specific item. Don't make them search.
- Send the link when they say "What else do you have?", "Do you have something for the kitchen?", or "Send me your items."
- Send the link after a delivery, with a thank-you. A happy customer who browses again is your best chance of a repeat order. See the message after delivery.
Ready-to-send messages
When someone asks what else you have
English: Sure! You can see all my products and prices here: [your link]. Tell me which one you like and I'll place the order for you.
After a delivery
English: Thank you for your order! Hope you like it. If you need anything else, my full shop is here: [your link].
Mistakes to avoid
- Sending the link with no message. A bare link looks like spam. Always add a friendly line.
- Sending it to everyone in your contacts at once. Share it with people who show interest, and on your own Status and profile.
- Forgetting to answer. A buyer who opens your shop and messages you at 9 pm expects a reply soon. Read reply within an hour.
- Promising things the page doesn't say. Stick to the facts on each product.
Make it part of your routine
Once your link is in your bio and About line, add it to the end of your posts and your after-delivery thank-you. That's it. It's a quiet helper that's there whenever someone is curious, even when you are busy.
